We offer personalised therapy for voice, speech, language and swallowing in a calm and caring environment. At Atkins Speech Pathology, we believe in building strong relationships with our clients and families, working together to achieve meaningful progress at every stage. Whether you’re looking for early support or ongoing care, we’re here to help every step of the way.

At Atkins Speech Pathology, we offer flexible funding options to make accessing therapy as easy as possible. You can access our services through a range of supports, including the NDIS (self-managed and plan-managed), Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), Medicare rebates with a GP referral, Private Health Insurance and WorkCover. We’re happy to guide you through the process and help you make the most of your available funding to ensure you receive the support you need.

  • COMMUNICATION & LANGUAGE

    We help adults who experience changes or challenges in speaking, understanding, reading, writing, or social communication. This may include support following a stroke, brain injury, or neurological condition, as well as lifelong communication differences.

  • NEURODIVERSITY & DISABILITY SUPPORT

    A neurodiversity-affirming and disability-inclusive approach is taken, celebrating each person’s strengths and communication style.

  • VOICE & GENDER-AFFIRMING COMMUNICATION

    Expert voice therapy is provided for adults experiencing vocal fatigue, hoarseness or changes in vocal quality. Specialised gender-affirming voice and communication is also available.

Who We Are.

Director and Speech Pathologist, Beth Atkins, is an experienced Speech Pathologist with over 16 years of practice across a wide range of settings, including rehabilitation and acute hospitals, schools, disability services, and private practice. Her diverse background has given her a deep understanding of how to adapt therapy to suit different environments and systems of care. In addition to her clinical work, Beth has been actively involved in research and is committed to evidence-based practice, ensuring her therapy approaches are grounded in the latest scientific knowledge. She has a special interest in voice rehabilitation and training and is proud to be the first speech pathologist in Australasia to qualify as an Estill Voice Training Master Trainer.

Beth Atkins is also the Consultant Speech Pathologist at Southern Highlands Private Hospital and nursing homes around the Southern Highlands and is trained in the ‘Speak Out’ therapy program for Parkinson’s Disease.
